LIMATAMBO - QUILLARUMIYOC- CHONTA - TARAWASI
Itinerary:
7:30 am: Pick up from hotel and transfer to the San Francisco Main,
7:45 am: Meeting with the rest of the group.
8:00 am: We begin our tour bound for the Contisuyo and to the Pampa of Anta, where we will make our first stop in Quillarumiyoc. Guided tour approx. 50 minutes.
10:00 am: Departure to Limatambo (scheduled arrival 11:00 am) where we will visit Tambo Tarawasi for about 40 minutes, then will head to Chonta (Lookout of the Condors) through an unpaved road for a period of time 01 hour. Arrival approx. to Chonta 12:30. From this point we begin the walk 3 kilometers to be held in an hour and a half to reach the Lookouts of the condors, at this point we will have a box lunch for lunch, and it is precisely at this time that you can see the condors in its splendor.
15:45 hrs. Starting the walk back to the village of Chonta.
17:00 hrs. Return transport will lead us back to Cusco.
19:30 hrs. Approximate arrival to the city of Cusco (Plaza Regocijo).

QUILLARUMIYOC: Located 46 kms west of the city of Cusco and the north-east of the rural community of San Martin de Porres, Ancahuasi district, province of Anta in the department of Cusco. Geographically, it is located in the north-western tip of the cattle agricultural plain called Pampa de Anta, is located in the gorge of the stream of the same name, the archaeological zone, has the shape of a polygon irregularly on a fairly steep relief is situated near wall construction zigzag limestone block material cushion large polygonal style. TARAWASI: Tarawasi sector is located on the flank of the valley of Limatambo, in floodplains at the confluence of the Sandor, Colorado and the Riachuelo rivers. Historical tradition says ordered to be built by the Inca Pachacutec for the purpose of establishing a dairy farm in the rest area on the way to the area Chinchaysuyo (East). Archaeological remains, ranging from 2651-2675 m.a.s.l, highlighting the main buildings are constructed stone granite base, has a large platform with walls of carved stone and united in one cell type style. A stone altar (ushru), agricultural terraces with their respective bridge and irrigation there are walls and trapezoidal niche the size of a person are also observed.
CHONTA - ( CONDOR’S LOOKOUT): The community Chonta is located at 3,400 meters above sea level where the walk starts to the lookout of the Condors, in this community can use the toilet, then walk an hour to the Lookout of Huaco which it is located on the right bank of the Apurimac river Canyon, to finally reach the viewpoint and from there to observe the majestic flight of the condors, which will leave us more than surprised.
At this point we can appreciate the stunning valley and canon of the largest river of South America, plus the second largest in the world and sacred to the Incas in their natural state bird, as an adult are up to 3 meters long with wings extended. There is also opportunity to observe many birds such as eagles, hawks and hopefully the White-tailed deer, cougar, Andean fox and Vizcachas. After witnessing Condor activity return walking about 1 hour to bequeath to the Chonta community, and then return to the city of Cusco in our mobility.
